Stewart Theatre
Stewart Theatre is NC State University’s largest space for live performance, seating 759 people. Initially constructed in 1973 in the original Talley Student Center, the theatre underwent modernization and restoration during the Talley Student Union addition and renovation in 2015. This project included Stewart’s new seating, life safety systems, and upgraded theatrical lighting and sound. In 2019, the theatre updated its theatrical fly system. University Theatre staff operate Stewart Theatre, and they plan and implement day-of event logistics. In addition to Arts NC State programming, Stewart Theatre hosts a variety of events for Registered Student Organizations, University Groups, and Non-University Groups.
